Some other tips:

• Routinely grease the hubs, check/adjust bearings we would advise every 500 miles approx.
• Check the torque of the wheel nuts after the first 100 miles and at regular intervals
• Unbraked hubs with a grease nipple & 3/8 unf wheel nuts using an 18mm socket torque to 65nm
• Unbraked hubs with M12 wheel bolts using an 19mm socket torque to 90nm
• Braked hubs with M12 wheel nuts using an 19mm socket torque to 110nm
• Tyres should be checked regularly for wear and tear. The psi of the tyre is embossed on the tyre wall.
• If your braked trailer is not being used place chocks under the wheels rather than using the handbrake, especially over the winter months.
• To ensure that the trailer is correctly balanced it is advisable to use a nose weight gauge.
• The MGW is the payload + the weight of the trailer. (Maximum Gross Weight)
• The trailer brakes are self-adjusting but will need regular maintenance they can be adjusted using 17mm and 13mm spanners.
• We do not recommend using TFR (Traffic Film Remover)
• Do not leave your trailer wet in closed storage as this can discolour the metals.
• Always wash your trailer down after use from driving on salted roads or near the sea.

• Ensure that the safety loop is over the towball when hitching on. Braked trailers must have the safety cable attached to the small ring on the towbar
• Plug the electrics in and check that all lights are working properly
• Check the jockey wheel is wound back up and is securely clamped, failure to do so may damage the A frame and jockey wheel resulting in replacement at your cost
• Check that the rear prop stands are pushed up into the clamp and the clamp is tightly closed
• Items inside or on the trailer are properly tied down and secured.
• All doors, ramps, flaps and any other opening or attachment has been closed/locked
• When you think you are ready to go, walk back around the trailer and visually check that all looks good

We will repair or replace a trailer found to have defective materials or workmanship at no charge at our discretion. Damage due to overloading, use for a purpose other than that for which the trailer is designed, modified in any way, incorrectly balanced loads, and lack of general maintenance will invalidate the warranty. Tyres are not covered by a warranty and all other trailer parts are covered under their separate manufacturers’ warranties please refer to the terms & conditions.
